We've spent many a mile challenging the nation's coasters on the Coast-2-Coast Coaster Tour ( www.darkstudios.com/c2c ) and have taken many photos in the process of losing our lunches. Some of these are featured in our photo gallery. We'd like to see your stills of rollercoasters in action - just be sure to give yourself credit for snapping the pics!

Sun, October 26, 2003 - 6:31 AMI'd give you some coaster pics, but all the ones I had were taken with your camera, so you already have 'em. :) In two weeks' time (woo-hoo!) I'll be taking more pictures of Vegas coasters Desperado, Manhattan Express (which I've never ridden but I hear is *amazing*) and maybe the one at Circus Circus, if Katie can drag me kicking and screaming into the Dome of Clowns. :shudder:
I'll pass on "Speed: The Ride" again this trip. -

and Manhattan Express is well worth your while, much more terrifying than Speed!

Tue, October 28, 2003 - 8:28 PMIs Manhattan Express scarier than Desperado? I don't think I've ever been more scared on a coaster than on that thing! Very thrilling, but I kept feeling like I was going to fly out of the car (the coaster would leave the track entirely) and sail into Buffalo Bill's parking lot.
If I have the extra $$ and we're at the Sahara, I might consider Speed. I think the ride was... what? Like 15 seconds or so?
And you're probably right, I think all the pics I took *were* of you. You would have gotten all the coaster shots and cool angles and stuff. I'll practice that when I'm out west and send you the best of the bunch.

Mon, October 27, 2003 - 11:07 AMA word of warning regarding "Manhatten Express" - take your glasses OFF, and leave them with a non-rider! I used to tuck mine down my shirt. When I got off M.E., I couldn't find them - the ride twisted and turned and flipped and SPED so nmuch that my glasses ended up in the waistband of the BACK of my shorts! Lesson learned. :)

Yep, rained practically all day here. A staff member at our hotel said they hadn't had any bad weather for three months. Hmmph. The rain very kindly stopped earlier this evening, and is not just nice and cold. Should be perfect picture weather tomorrow! -
